Still Lake Nursery was built by Garry and Gloria Still in 1974. After trying their hand at the grocery store business and the Italian restaurant business, they decided to pursue a long-lived passion of theirs, flowers. They found a beautiful location beside a lake on Scenic Highway in Lawrenceville and built their first greenhouse. That is where they worked and lived.
It was a family undertaking and it took lots of hard work to get it off the ground. Still Lake Nursery quickly became the community go-to-place for gardeners. It was more than just retail for Garry and Gloria, they took pride in their work. They became friends with many of the customers who came in, some of whom still shop at Still Lake to this day.
35 years later, Still Lake Nursery is still run by Gloria and her employees. The store has grown to 12 greenhouses and includes everything a gardener may need, such as: fertlizer, pesticides, tools, pots, seeds, statues, and of course a wide variety of plants and flowers. Even though the store has grown, it still has that small, community atmosphere.
